TASK GROUP
MEETING of IUPAC Project 2003-023-2-400
"Data treatment
in size exclusion chromatography of polymers"
will be held in SUZA on Tuesday,
June 13 from 11:00 to 13:00.
The meeting is open to all who are
interested in the task group activities
Aim: Coordinate actions leading to
improving the data treatment in SEC, in order producing more
accurate determinations of the polymer characteristics.
Apart from the formal Project Members, everybody in the
Conference is kindly invited to participate in our discussions
associated with corrections for Band Broadening and other
systematic sources of error in SEC.
This invitation is especially directed to representatives of the
SEC manufacturers, with the ultimate idea of standardizing data
treatment procedures.
The formal Project Members will present the following articles
on the theme along the Conference:
* Meira, G., Vega, J., Yossen, M.:
"Determination
of band broadening in SEC from the analysis of narrow standards
with molar mass sensitive sensors"
* Netopilík, M.:
“Parameters of
the band-broadening function and their determination”
Potschka, M.: "Correction
of SEC molecular size distributions for axial dispersion based
on a set of column parameters"
* Schnoell-Bitai, I.,
Mader, Ch.:
"How much does
band broadening adulterate polymer distributions measured by
size exclusion chromatography really?"
In addition, several other contributions from the field of
polymer liquid chromatography will be presented along the
Conference.
